| In this paper we provide an overview of the field of shape and motion
analysis with applications in biology and medicine. We review several major
concepts for the comparison and statistical analysis of shape and motion. A focus,
especially concerning the presented applications, is on our own recent work. Our
aim is to provide an introduction for readers from the field of computer vision less
familiar with biological and medical applications. The technique of non-rigid
parametric registration takes center stage of our approach. An application to the
visualization and quantitative analysis of stent-graft motion is presented and
several biological applications are resumed. |
