From Budapest to Hagenberg
New Key Researcher!
Dr. Miklos Biro (57) joined at the beginning of January the Process and Quality Engineer (PQE) team at SCCH. He holds a Ph.D. degree in mathematics (Loránd Eötvös University in Budapest) a Master of Science in Management degree (Purdue Universtiy, USA) and a Doctor Habilitatus degree at Corvinus University of Budapest.

He worked as an associate professor and project director at the Dennis Gabor College in Hungary and has more than 33 years of experience in software engineering, research, university teaching as well as management experience.
He is a member of the Organizing Committee and speaker of the joint Software Technolgy Forum of the IEEE Computer Society and the John von Neumann Computer Society. He is also Marketing Chair of the European System & Software Process Improvement and Innovation (EuroSPI) conferences.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Software Maintenance and Evolution journal (incorporating now Soft Process Improvement and Practice) published by John Wiley & Sons and the e-Informatica Software Engineering Journal covering theoretical and practical issues pertaining to the development of software systems, and focusing on experimentation in software engineering. Additionally he is also member of the Public Body of the Hungarian Academy of Science, as well as several other professional bodies and societies.
At the Software Competence Center Hagenberg, professor Miklos Biro is responsible for the research focus Process and Quality Engineering (PQE) in the role of a Key-Researcher.
