SCCH is continuously growing. As one of the largest independent research centers in Austria in Software, we are continuously looking for new staff members.
However, what you are looking for is just as important. Are you looking for a task in a personal team atmosphere in which you can fully contribute your strengths in business and science? Your strengths are an independent working style, team capacity and readiness for cooperation? We are seeking creative, motivated persons with an interest in accepting challenges and responsibility?
If you have completed your university studies with excellent grades or are presently working on your PhD (or plan to), then we would like to meet you. We also welcome already established researchers. SCCH is very interested in applications from ambitious and excellent domestic or international students and researchers (PhD, postdoc, diploma, M.S.). Women are still too rare in technical research, so we particularly invite women applicants.
Students who are still in the midst of their studies are also welcome at SCCH; we offer practica and also support theses and dissertations.
SCCH is proud to be an attractive employer for international researchers. Even visiting research stays of shorter duration (starting at a half year) for international scientists are possible at SCCH.
If you are interested in an employment at SCCH please send your application including CV, publications and other relevant material to Dr. Klaus Pirklbauer (contact on the right).
A special aspect of Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH) is the combination of science and industry. This applies for the staff as well. We are looking for researchers who have established themselves on a scientific basis or seek to do so (with publications, conference participation, etc.) and who also bring their know-how to industrial R&D projects.
SCCH affords both young and experienced scientists with/without a doctorate the possibility of further personal and scientific development and to apply and test their new knowledge for their practicability in real applications. We vest great value in a highly qualified team and require a completed university degree in computer science, mathematics or a related field. Postdocs are also welcome, and a number of students who are approaching the end of their studies are also hired for the purpose of training young scientists.
The international orientation of SCCH is reflected in its staff. We seek the best researchers, regardless of their nation of origin. In particular, qualified women should apply, for we wish to contribute to increasing the share of women in engineering.
The basis for high-quality work in science and industry is a highly qualified and engaged staff. We are well aware of what our staff deliver, and we offer them:
- a varied and interesting field of work in a successful and innovative company in an exciting branch
- support on entering SCCH via a mentoring program
- opportunity for promotion through our PhD Study Support Program or in the realm of long-range cooperation
- a young and dynamic company structure and an excellent work climate
- internal development options
- attractive payroll system with high performance incentives
- flexible working time
Researcher exchange program
SCCH wants to contribute to the vital exchange of knowledge and experience between R&D institutions across national borders. To intensify research contacts and to support employees in gaining experience at other research organizations, SCCH offers an innovative Researcher Exchange Program based on existing researcher mobility programs. Especially a real exchange where an SCCH employee is abroad for a certain time while a researcher from the other organization visits SCCH is in the focus of SCCH.
Research institutions and researchers (especially excellent PhD candidates or postdocs) interested in participating in this program are strongly encouraged to contact us.
