Innovation at SCCH

A clear indication of SCCH’s experience in linking science and industry is that its inventions provided a number of technological advances and results for its partners. Even if the methods and software prototypes developed in our research projects need to be finalized by the partner companies, all projects during the last years have already led to innovative products or improvements of processes in software engineering and manufacturing.

Our partners and customers expect top-level research results and software-based innovations that are suited to substantially and sustainably improving their business and/or manufacturing processes (i.e., their competitiveness). Based on what SCCH has achieved so far for its partner companies, we are convinced that we can fulfill these expectations.

The quality of SCCH’s R&D activities definitely serves as a core contribution to raising Austria’s and Upper Austria’s profile as a high-tech location. This success, which is based at least partially on SCCH’s consistent alignment to customers’ needs, is best illustrated by the strong involvement of Austrian industry.

Increasing the competitiveness of local companies via long-term research, especially for companies that operate globally (e.g., E + E Elektronik Ges.m.b.H., KEBA AG and voestalpine Stahl GmbH), also serves as an important contribution to the attractiveness of the location of Upper Austria. Some partners and customers are local representatives of large global enterprises; securing their site in Austria is a major issue, and SCCH’s research work has contributed to increasing the competitiveness of the this site for global enterprise (e.g., Comneon Electronic Technology GmbH & Co OHG).
