Research profile
The focus of SCCH is on applied research and research of practical utility, and on identifying and exploring the scientific principles of building industrial-strength quality software. Together with its national and international partners from science and industry, SCCH aims to significantly advance the state of the art in software science by
- improving existing and inventing new methods and tools for software development and
- developing innovative and sustainable solutions for ambitious software applications needed by small-, medium- and large-scale enterprises.
Research undertaken by SCCH both covers all phases of software development and integrates three fundamental levels of software, namely, the methodology-centered level, the data-centered level, and the knowledge-centered level. These levels are addressed in SCCH’s two Competence Areas
Software Engineering & Technology and
Knowledge-Based Technology.
