Decision Support for Test Management in Iterative and Evolutionary Development
Rudolf Ramler
In his PhD project, Rudolf Ramler is investigating Decision Support for Test Management in Iterative and Evolutionary Development. This project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Paul Grünbacher (Johannes Kepler University Linz). The situation of testing in today's commercial software development practice is often characterized by rapid development cycles of iterative and evolutionary development approaches. This poses challenges such as vague, incomplete and frequently changing requirements, numerous short development and test cycles, restrictive schedules and limited resources. In response to this situation, this project aims at providing an open and customizable framework for decision-making in test management in the context of iterative and evolutionary software development. This framework will support test managers in focusing on an optimal set of highly effective tests in order to increase overall efficiency in software testing.
