How to evaluate data from sensor networks in a cloud infrastructure? According to the question, Wolfgang Beer presented “Combining Cloud Computing and Wireless Sensor Networks“. The combination of both technologies enables new application areas, for example the collection and evaluation of data in the field of energy consumption.
“We notice the trend that also web-applications focus on knowledge discovery and data mining. Together with the FH-Hagenberg we are doing research in the field of sensor networks, particularly in the improvement of collecting sensor data”, mentions Beer.
