Abstract | The study of an agro-silvo-pastoral (ASP) system involves great challenges with respect to a) identifying its parameters or indicators, b) formally capturing the dynamic coupling between the several indicators, and c) computing optimal strategic plans for the system. Our work will intend on using standard tools from data analysis, system theory and dynamic/robust optimization literature to provide analytical formulations of optimization problems that improve the condition of the overall system. Furthermore, identification of the dynamics describing the evolution of the system at multiple levels of abstraction (micro and macro) and selecting the appropriate indicators for representing the evolution of the system that will allow for accurate optimization schemes is an indispensable part of this analysis. |
