More than a hundred guests accepted SCCH's invitation to visit the tobacco factory in Linz. In addition to a visit to the Strada del Start-up, the program also included a guided tour of the former "Tschickbude".

RTO Innovation Summit

Expanding the scientific network

Mario Pichler attended the RTO Innovation Summit in Brussels at the beginning of November. More than 400 participants took part in that event. 


Determine the state of health of machines

The aim of the project is to investigate the scientific and technical basis for the detection, diagnosis and prediction of faults in technical systems. In particular, the research of robust learning algorithms will be used to create the basis for a software platform that can be used as generally as possible to analyze the state of technical systems.

Project Smart Villages started

Digitisation in rural areas

The aim of the Interreg Alpine Space project "Smart Villages" is to prepare communities in the Alpine Space to recognise and exploit the opportunities offered by digitisation. Various cities throughout Europe are already calling themselves Smart Cities. This approach is now to be applied to rural communities as well.

Artificial Intelligence made in Bremen

Review of the delegation trip

From October 16 to 18, the scientific director of the SCCH, Prof. Dr. A Min Toja, took part in the information trip to Bremen.  Top scientists from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, the University of Bremen and innovative companies such as OHB SE and Blackout Technologies UG attended the event.

Last funding period

Horizon 2020

On October 16th, around 100 participants gathered information about the participation opportunities on Horizon 2020 as the last round of tenders is currently underway, with the highest endowment of 30 billion euros. Keynote Speaker, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Bernhard A. Moser showed how Artificial Intelligence influences our lives.

SERUMS project approved

In the context of H2020

The SERUMS project (Securing Medical Data in Smart Patient-Centric Healthcare Systems) was recently approved. SCCH's research focuses primarily on the topic of Privacy Preserving Machine Learning.
