This report qualitatively evaluates possible alternatives to PIN authentication and TAN access control for electronic banking applications. The alternatives will be an improvement with respect to security and convenience compared to the current practice using PINs/TANs. Furthermore, the alternatives will be rated concerning feasibility and time horizon with respect to realization. The results summarized in this report enable our partners to decide whether feasible alternatives to PIN/TAN will be available in the near future and which of the alternatives are best to follow.
