Abstract | Defect prediction is a powerful method that pro-vides information about the likely defective parts in software system and is applicable to improve effectiveness and efficiency of software quality assurance. This makes defect prediction a perfect candidate to be combined with risk-based testing to opti-mally guide testing activities towards risky parts of software. As a first step towards a successful combination, this paper presents requirements that have to be fulfilled for enabling the synergies between defect prediction and risk-based testing. |
