Within the K-project
“Process Analytical Chemistry - PAC” key parameters for industrial production
of melamine resin processes are predicted via the use of FTNIR-spectroscopy and
chemometrics. For the project partner Metadynea, the targeted monitoring
parameter has been identified by the turbidity point. This process parameter is
used to determine the moment for stopping the corresponding batch process. For
this purpose, spectral and analytic measurements were taken for gathering a set
of calibration data and further used in a chemometric model. During the time of
data collection, two different profiles of the process temperature were used,
which turned out to be problematic for chemometric analysis. In this
contribution, we present an approach that aims to remove the disturbing
influence of varying temperature profiles onmeasurements.
