Position: Researcher in Deep Learning

As a Researcher in Deep Learning within the group of Deep Learning and Certification, headed by DI Dr. Bernhard Nessler, at SCCH, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in collaboration with the JKU Linz and other leading organizations from various domains. You will be part of a vibrant team of experts who are passionate about advancing the field of deep learning and its real-world applications, with a particular focus on generative models, large language models, interactive chat systems, and games. You will have the chance to contribute to both fundamental research and the development of practical solutions.

You will…

  • conduct research in deep learning, including architecture design, model development, and optimization techniques, with a specific emphasis on generative models, large language models, interactive chat systems, and games.
  • collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative deep learning solutions for a variety of domains, such as healthcare, manufacturing, robotics, and more.
  • stay up to date with the latest advancements in deep learning and related fields, and proactively contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals to contribute to the scientific community.
  • participate in writing project proposals and securing funding for research projects.

 

You are…

  • well-educated with a Ph.D. or Master's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field with a focus on machine learning or deep learning.
  • equipped with a strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in deep learning algorithms, neural networks, and related frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • provided with proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with libraries commonly used in deep learning.
  • well-equipped with a solid understanding of mathematics and statistics relevant to deep learning.
  • a strong problem-solver with analytical skills and with the ability to approach complex challenges creatively.
  • an excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

Salary

The minimum gross salary is € 3,490.85 per month (14 times per year) for full employment. The actual salary depends on the qualifications of the applicant.
